After that, you realize that it's not really a digital SLR, but it's got enough going for it that the Olympus SP-570UZ might be a perfect solution for consumers who want a little more from their picture-takers. For starters, you'll notice that this cam comes equipped with a lens that offers 20x optical zoom, totally destroying similar offerings from Canon and Sony that only do 12x optical. It's also got a 10 megapixel sensor, dual image stabilization, face detection, shadow adjustment, and perfect shot preview. Around the back, the Olympus SP-570UZ treats you to a large 2.7-inch LCD, as well as access to a series of manual controls.

This week, along with our co-counsel, EFF filed a motion for judgment on the pleadings asking a U.S. District Court judge to throw out a copyright infringement suit brought by talk show host Michael Savage against the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Savage sued CAIR in December, alleging that CAIR infringed the copyright in his show when it posted on its web site brief excerpts from Savage's radio program in order to criticize Savage's remarks. Savage also added a federal racketeering claim stemming from that alleged copyright infringement. CAIR's use of the radio program excerpts is, of course, protected under the fair use doctrine. The Copyright Act specifically makes clear that third parties may utilize copyrighted works for purposes of commentary or criticism, as CAIR did in this case.

Got Gucci? The Cell Phone vs. PDA Debate Will Be Settled By Function ...
One of the most durable debates in the mobile space centers on the differences between cell phones with PDA capabilities, and PDA-type devices that have built-in communications capabilities. More to the point, is it better and more productive to have a PDA with all sorts of built-in wireless technologies, or does it make more sense to use a cell phone that has been bulked up with a email, instant messaging and personal management applications that would seem to eliminate the need to carry a Palm- or Windows-based PDA device? In most cases, personal preferences as to which device is the best fit come down to some very basic criteria: Which device has the longest battery life? Will I be responding to long emails and reviewing documents (in which case, the larger screen of a PDA with wireless capabilities might be the preferred model)? Is the device easily transported and does it have a minimal impact on the lean and clean lines of that Italian suit Ill be wearing (you can refer to this as the wireless Gucci Effect)? My personal opinion is that it really doesnt matter, since most hybrid PDAs which usually sport a number of communications technologies, from Bluetooth to wide area wireless have been redesigned to look more like traditional cell phones and less like boxy PDAs.
